The students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff of Saint Augustine Catholic School in Washington, D.C. have collected more than 1,800 food items for its annual Thanksgiving food drive for the less fortunate.

The donated non-perishable food items will be presented Nov. 19 to the Little Sisters of the Poor’s Jeanne Jugan Residence.

During the food drive two students brought in more than 100 items alone. The school has been collecting food at Thanksgiving for the Little Sisters of the Poor for nearly 10 years.
