When the Oct. 19, 2023 edition of the Catholic Standard newspaper was about to be sent to press, the printers notified us that they had a major technical problem at their printing plant and would have to outsource the printing of that paper to another plant. That disruption caused the newspapers to be mailed one day late. When the printed newspapers arrived in the Catholic Standard newsroom, we were very disappointed at the poor printing quality, and we had the Oct. 19, 2023 Catholic Standard newspaper reprinted and redistributed to our subscribers and parishes, who should be receiving the reprinted newspapers in coming days.
