Archbishop Donald Wuerl installed Father Michael Jones as the new pastor of St. Pius X Parish in Bowie on Sept. 20. Above, Archbishop Wuerl celebrates the Mass with Father Jones. Father Jones, a D.C. native, most recently served as pastor of St. Benedict the Moor and St. Vincent de Paul parishes in Washington. From 1987-91, he served as an associate pastor at St. Pius X. He also served as a chaplain at Good Counsel High School in Wheaton from 1991 to 2003. Earlier, he served at Our Lady Queen of Peace, S.E., and as a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
