The international Catholic lay movement Communion and Liberation organized a Good Friday Way of the Cross procession through downtown Washington, D.C., on March 29, 2024. Cardinal Wilton Gregory offered a blessing at the First Station of the Cross at St. Stephen Martyr Church, then the Way of the Cross procession wound through the nation’s capital, ending with the last Station of the Cross at St. Patrick’s Church.
